ZAN CLAN Part Ways With Guitarist, Bassist; Seek Replacements

March 14, 2006

ZAN CLAN, the Swedish group fronted by former SHOTGUN MESSIAH vocalist Zinny Zan, have parted ways with guitarist Pontus Norgren (ex-TALISMAN, GREAT KING RAT, THE POODLES) and and bassist Pontus "Eggy" Egberg (ex-LION'S SHARE, THE POODLES). "This means that the filmed 'Live at the Club' gig [in Stockholm in early February] was not just a Glamfest, a tribute to Dave Lepard [the late CRASHDIET frontman], but also a farewell to this very lineup of ZAN CLAN," Zinny writes in a statement. "Chris Laney [guitar, also in ANIMAL], Johan Koleberg [drums, ex-LION'S SHARE] and yours truly, Zinny J. Zan will, of course, continue the goal to get ya all Zanclanized! We are now looking for a new guitarist and bass player to join the CLAN. We are currently in the studio recording and fuckin' around with songs four our next album."

Guitar players interested in auditiioning for ZAN CLAN can contact the group at [email protected].

ZAN CLAN's most recent album, "We Are Zan Clan, Who the F**k Are You??!", was released in April 2005 via GMR Music.
