January 23, 2011

Guitar legend Zakk Wylde (BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, OZZY OSBOURNE) made a guest appearance on the January 16, 2010 episode of Showtime's over-the-top smash hit comedy series "Californication". You can now watch video footage of his appearance below.

"Californication" stars David Duchovny in his Golden Globe-winning role as hedonistic novelist Hank Moody who struggles to raise his teenage daughter Becca (Madeleine Martin),while still carrying a torch for his ex-girlfriend Karen (Natascha McElhone).

Although primarily known for his incredible guitar prowess, Zakk Wylde is no stranger to acting having appeared in the 2001 film "Rock Star" with Mark Wahlberg, and more recently in the independent film "Bones".

After a well-documented time of trials and tribulations, 2010 was an incredible year for Zakk Wylde and his BLACK LABEL SOCIETY. Early in the year, Wylde received the "Best Guitarist" award at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards. In August, the first new BLACK LABEL SOCIETY album in four years was released. "Order Of The Black" debuted at No. 4 on The Billboard 200 album chart, while Wylde graced the covers of both Revolver and Guitar World.
