YNGWIE MALMSTEEN Singer Over–Exposed In New York City

December 5, 2005

YNGWIE MALMSTEEN singer Doogie White has posted the following tour update on his official web site:

"I have never played in New York City ever so it was really a gas to play in front of a packed house at B.B. Kings just off Broadway. I spent the earlier part of the day wandering around from Canal St to the Village and back to the venue. We played a binding show despite the small stage and PA."

"At nearly every show there are fans whose main mission seem to be to get a flying Malmsteen pick. I am constantly during the show being asked for them even when I am singing. I gave one just before 'Dreaming' to one guy and he seemed happy. During the encore this guy and now his girlfriend are pointing in the give-me-a-pick fashion to the point of irritation, I bend down to tell him to pack it in, only to hear the words 'Yer flies are open.' And they were and I was exposed for all to see. The lesson I suppose is that things really aint always what they seem.

"We had a killer show in Danbury CT last night and there was a four camera shoot. You will probably find out more from Yngwie's home page later. But it's got ya talking has it not. Today Baltimore 6th show in a row. Ears screaming. See ya later."

YNGWIE MALMSTEEN is touring in support of his two new projects, "Unleash the Fury" and "Concerto Suite for Electric Guitar and Orchestra" DVD.

"Unleash the Fury", which hit stores July 26 through Spitfire Records, has been receiving rave reviews from critics and fans alike and has even been hailed as one of his best works to date. Also released this year was Yngwie's long-awaited "Concerto Suite for Electric Guitar and Orchestra" DVD, which was filmed in 2001 with the New Japan Philharmonic, conducted by Taizo Takemoto. Malmsteen has performed his concerto suite live with an orchestra just seven times. An interview with Malmsteen is included as a special bonus feature.
