YNGWIE MALMSTEEN Frontman Recording More Vocals For New CORNERSTONE Album

February 8, 2006

CORNERSTONE bassist Steen Mogensen (ex-ROYAL HUNT) and singer Doogie White (YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, CORNERSTONE, ex-RAINBOW) have spent the last several days in London working on the tracking of the vocals for the group's fourth album, "Two Tales and One Tomorrow", tentatively due later in the year.

Commented Doogie: "God, the bloody Danes! Steen has been a very hard taskmaster over the last few days. Time was limited this time round, as the local ale house was closed for refurbishment so we had further to walk to get a beer.

"So we blasted through the vocals and enjoyed the hospitality of the 'other' local. The delights of Thai food at the Bedlington eased the tired ears and vocal cords. Couple that with the birthday party dinner no one came to and you get the picture.

"Steen has assured me that the vocals are much better than before and I agree. We are working on a couple of new songs, well, we have the time and while the backline is set up we should make full use of it. So I will get to go to Copenhagen later and do more vocals there. Hurrah!!!!"

Songtitles set to appear on CORNERSTONE's follow-up to 2003's "Once Upon Our Yesterdays" (Massacre) include "Requiem", "Wicked" and "Two Tales and One Tomorrow".

As previously reported, CORNERSTONE have been confirmed for the Norwegian festival Ragnarock, set to take place place August 17-19, 2006. More information will be made available soon.

CORNERSTONE's live album, "Cornerstone In Concert", was released in July 2005 in Japan via Yamaha Communications and in Europe through Massacre Records. The CD was recorded at several shows on the group's debut tour of Europe in January/Febuary 2005. Included in the package is a video clip of live and backstage footage from the band's private archives.
