Y&T: 1995 Rehearsal Recording Available For Download

October 13, 2004

Dave Meniketti's (Y&T) web site is currently hosting a "rehearsal" recording of a 1995 live Y&T jam in Dave's studio. "This was one of the first performances of 'Fly Away' as the band was jamming to come up with the idea for the song," reads a posting on the site. "This is a little 'sneak peek' into the typical way Y&T writes songs in the studio. Dave remembers that they dimmed the lights in the studio so that they were almost playing in the dark (the only thing missing was some incense!). Recorded straight to DAT, no overdubs, no mixing or anything...raw & full of energy! Dave, Phil, and Jimmy are jamming here as a trio."

Download the track at this location (mp3, 6.36 MB).
