WOLVERINE: 'The Window Purpose' Reissue To Surface In March

January 29, 2005

Sweden's WOLVERINE will reissue their 2001 effort, "The Window Purpose", in March through Elitist/Earache Records. An edited version of the track "Towards Loss", taken from the remastered version of "The Window Purpose", can be downloaded at this location. This version of the song appears on an Earache compilation CD that Metal Hammer U.K. included with their February issue. The same compilation will also be available with the next issue of Sweden's Close-Up magazine.

With regards to the songwriting sessions for their new album, the group write on their web site, "We are currently hard at work with writing new songs and although we've, up until now, progressed pretty slowly we have about 30 minutes of rough ideas ready. We're all very excited about the new material since most of it is much more up-tempo than the material on 'Cold Light of Monday'. Not that we see the slow pace of 'Cold Light of Monday' as a weakness, but the new songs definitely makes for a much more balanced live show and hopefully we'll do many of those once the album is out."

WOLVERINE's latest album, "Cold Light Of Monday", was released in late 2003 through Elitist/Earache.
