WITHIN TEMPTATION To Play Special Dutch Concert In November

May 24, 2007

Dutch symphonic metal band WITHIN TEMPTATION will play a special concert in Eindhoven, Netherlands on November 24.

"After having such a blast at our concert at the Java Eiland in Amsterdam [in July 2005], we decided to do another one of these special concerts where we’ll be able to offer a lot of extras," the band writes on its web site. "Eindhoven has its own airport and the venue is located right next to the train station. The sound and light facilities here are great. So in short, it will be a special night!"

In other news, WITHIN TEMPTATION vocalist Sharon Den Adel joined fellow Dutch band DELAIN (the gothic rock project founded by ex-WITHIN TEMPTATION keyboardist Martijn Westerholt, brother of WITHIN TEMPTATION's Robert Westerholt) on stage for the first time during the two groups' joint concert in Paris, France on May 21 for a rendition of the DELAIN song "No Compliance". Sharon can be heard singing "No Compliance" on DELAIN's debut album, "Lucidity", which came out last year.

Sharon Den Adel was recently interviewed by Andrew Haug of Triple J's "Full Metal Racket" (based in Australia). Listen to the interview in streaming audio at the Triple J web site: Windows Media, Real Media (NOTE: The Sharon Den Adel interview begins at around the two-hour, seven-minute mark). WITHIN TEMPTATION's video for the song "Frozen" has been posted at YouTube. According to a posting on the group's web site, the clip's storyline is based on events that take place at the turn of the 20th century, dealing with a pretty heavy subject: violence and abuse within a family.

WITHIN TEMPTATION released a limited-edition EP, "The Howling", in the U.S. on May 1, available exclusively at Hot Topic for the low price of $1.99. The group's new album, "The Heart of Everything", which came out in Europe in March, will be released in the U.S. on July 24 via Roadrunner Records. The band's video for the single "What Have You Done" is available for viewing at this location. The clip features a guest appearance by Keith Caputo of LIFE OF AGONY.
