January 6, 2009

WITCH, the band featuring J. Mascis of DINOSAUR JR. on drums alongside members of FEATHERS, and Tee Pee Records labelmates EARTHLESS will team up for a set of tour dates starting in late February.

Feb. 20 - Toronto, ONT - The Legendary Horseshoe Tavern
Feb. 21 - Montreal, QUE - Les Saints
Feb. 22 - Providence, RI - AS220
Feb. 23 - Boston, MA – T.T. The Bears
Feb. 24 - Philadelphia, PA - Johnny Brenda's
Feb. 25 - Brooklyn, NY - Music Hall Of Williamsburg
Feb. 26 - Washington, DC - DC9
Feb. 27 - Asbury Park, NJ - Asbury Lanes
Feb. 28 - Baltimore, MD - Ottobar

WITCH (pictured below) is touring behind its March 2008 release "Paralyzed". The record found the band evolving beyond the standard SABBATH-ian riff structure that defined much of its first record. With "Paralyzed", WITCH stepped into new realms melding punk rock tempos with acid guitar freak-outs while maintaining sludgy head nodding grooves. Rather than revisiting the sounds of the 60's/70's, WITCH reinvented them.

EARTHLESS recently released "Live At Roadburn", a double CD/LP masterpiece recorded at the 2008 Roadburn Festival.
