WINTERTHRALL Joined By Former MORGION Bassist/Vocalist JEREMY PETO

February 7, 2006

WINTERTHRALL, the Orange County, California-based doom/death metal project featuring Rob Alaniz (NOCTUARY, ex-RISE, EVILDEAD),and Steve Nelson (NOCTUARY),have announced the addition of bassist/vocalist Jeremy Peto (ex-MORGION) to the group's ranks. In addition, Ruben Lugo — who had previously played bass in the band — has switched over to guitar. "We thought it was best to keep the inner band chemistry going at this point by switching him over to guitars and he has been hard at work learning all the old songs as well as writing and rehearsing some new material," the band write on their web site. "At this rate we will be ready to play in March!"

WINTERTHRALL's full-length debut, tentatively titled "Nightmares for the Sleepless", was recorded at Shiva Industries Studio in Santa Ana, CA with Sir-Loin John Haddad at the helm. The CD will feature 10 to 12 tracks, including "The Audient Void", "Blood From A Broken Wing", "Standing In The Light Of A Failing Sun", "Edifice Of Betrayal", "Cycles Of The Flesh", "In Frozen Apathy", "Malevolence", "By The Will Of The Night", and re-worked versions of the demo tracks "The Nightmare Passages", "Dreams To Dust", "...And The Meek Shall Inherit Nothing", and "Autumn Caskets". The band also recorded two covers (BRUTAL TRUTH and CARCASS) which may or may not end up on the CD as bonus tracks. A tentative spring release is expected.
