July 16, 2010

Los Angeles metallers WINDS OF PLAGUE will enter the studio later this summer with producer Matt Hyde (SLAYER, HATEBREED) to begin recording their third album for an early 2011 release via Century Media Records.

WINDS OF PLAGUE is busy decimating the weak across North America as part of the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival all summer long while continuing to write material for its new CD.

WINDS OF PLAGUE drummer Art Cruz is a featured artist in Drum! magazine's latest issue and has partnered with the magazine's web site to launch a series of in-depth instructional video lessons.

"The Great Stone War", the latest album from WINDS OF PLAGUE, sold 6,300 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 73 on The Billboard 200 chart.

WINDS OF PLAGUE shot a video for the song "Approach The Podium" with up-and-coming director Nic Izzy of Reconstructed Media (DESPISED ICON, PROTEST THE HERO).

"The Great Stone War" was released on August 11, 2009 in the U.S. via Century Media Records.
