August 3, 2010

Los Angeles metallers WINDS OF PLAGUE are busy decimating the weak across North America as part of the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival all summer long while continuing to write material for their much-anticipated new album.

A very candid, in-depth interview with WINDS OF PLAGUE frontman Johnathan "Johnny Plague" Cooke about the start of Mayhem, the rigors of the touring lifestyle, his mobile gym and daily workout routine, the benefits of playing a 30-minute set, the plans for recording the next album and what they hope to accomplish with it can be viewed below.

Jamey Jasta of HATEBREED and KINGDOM OF SORROW will make a guest appearance on the forthcoming CD from WINDS OF PLAGUE, tentatively due in early 2011 via via Century Media Records. The effort will be recorded later this summer with producer Matt Hyde (SLAYER, HATEBREED).

"The Great Stone War", the latest album from WINDS OF PLAGUE, sold 6,300 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 73 on The Billboard 200 chart.

WINDS OF PLAGUE shot a video for the song "Approach The Podium" with up-and-coming director Nic Izzy of Reconstructed Media (DESPISED ICON, PROTEST THE HERO).

"The Great Stone War" was released on August 11, 2009 in the U.S. via Century Media Records.
