WILL HAVEN Completes Three New Songs With DEFTONES Frontman

January 21, 2007

Sacramento's WILL HAVEN has finished recording three new songs with producers Chino Moreno (DEFTONES) and Shaun Lopez (FAR, THE REVOLUTION SMILE). The tracks — "Helena", "Sheppard's Bush" and "Landing on Ice" — are expected to appear on the group's upcoming CD, which will be recorded beginning late February at Bieler Bros. Studios in Pompano Beach, Florida. The as-yet-untitled disc is due in late spring or early summer via Bieler Bros. Records. The album will mark the group's first release since 2001's critically acclaimed "Carpe Diem".

Commented the band: "Those songs are completed. No vocals yet — that will come soon — but the music is by far the best stuff we have ever done. Definitely pushing the envelope, but that's how we want it. Having Chino and Shaun a part of it, you know some groundbreaking stuff is bound to happen."

In other news, WILL HAVEN has been added as a support act on the DEFTONES European tour between March 22 and April 10. WILL HAVEN will NOT play the U.K. leg of the trek, where MNEMIC has been confirmed as the opening band. Several warm-up shows on the West Coast will take place in February and March, beginning with a February 19 date at the Troubadour, also featuring EIGHTFOURSEVEN, DEATH VALLEY HIGH and RED HOST.
