WEDNESDAY 13 To Guest On ALICE COOPER's Radio Show

April 19, 2005

MURDERDOLLS frontman and solo artist Wednesday 13 will be Alice Cooper's special guest on Cooper's radio show "Nights with Alice Cooper". The program is a classic-rock format and is nationally syndicated on the United Stations network. The show will tape on April 29 and air on May 3 (air times differ, so make sure to check out NightsWithAliceCooper.com for more information).

In a recent interview with DCExaminer.com, Wednesday 13 explained that he was recruited into the army of horror metal 20 years ago, oddly enough during an episode of "People's Court".

While his parents were watching Judge Wapner and Rusty the Bailiff hold court, the 10-year-old North Carolina native was playing with his G.I. Joe figures when a commercial advertising an upcoming ALICE COOPER show at the Charlotte Coliseum came on.

"I turn around and I see this guy — or this girl or whatever the hell it is — and it's like a 30-second snippet of everything he does: He's holding a snake, he's hanging, he's in an electric chair, he's in a guillotine. I already liked horror movies and I'm like, 'That guy's a horror movie with guitars. What the hell is this?' " says Wednesday, who then asked his parents who the shock rocker was. "And they go, 'Oh, he's the guy who bites the heads of chickens.' And in my mind, I'm going, 'Really.' "

Wednesday's debut solo album, "Transylvania 90210: Songs of Death, Dying and the Dead", is available now on Roadrunner Records.
