WASHOE: ENTOMBED/MISERY LOVES CO. Project To Get Busy During Summer

May 4, 2002

Sweden's WASHOE, the new band formed by ENTOMBED guitarist Uffe Cederlund and three former members of MISERY LOVES CO. (vocalist Patrik Wirn, bassist Patrik Thorngren and drummer Olle Dahlstedt),are planning on spending the summer writing and hopefully recording songs, according to Wirn. We did meet up for a rehearsal in Stockholm a couple of months ago and all of us got really excited about the new material we put together, so... stay patient!

Described as a musical mixture of DINOSAUR JR, PEARL JAM and FOO FIGHTERS, WASHOE have thus far played one live gig (in Stockholm, back in May 2001),and have launched their official web site at this location. Although no proper studio recordings have yet been made of the band's music, WASHOE did complete a very rough five-song demo over a two-day period in February of last year, which they're presently making available for download via the aforementioned web site. Among the tracks that are set to appear on the group's debut CD are the following:

01. Bjrklinge
02. It Wasn't Designed For Us
03. Cold Water
04. Nothing
05. Outsing The Pigs
06. Whatever Turns You On
07. Circles
08. Building Airplanes
09. Down! Down! Down!
10. Teenage Stupidity
