WARHEAD Continue Work On Fourth Album, Seek New Guitarist

January 3, 2006

Drummer Peter Breitenbach of the German metallers WARHEAD, whose original lineup included current REBELLION frontman Björn Eilen, has posted the following update on the band's official web site:

"We're not finished the work on our new album, at this time (which, by the way, won't be named 'Alive' after all!). Sad but true, but you have to wait 'till spring 2006! We're still working on it 'cause unfortunately we parted ways with our new guitar player Stefan due to musical differences. At this point we wish him all the best of luck in his future endeavours! So that means, we're urgently searching for a new guitar player, of course!!! If YOU are interested in this job, read the further details at the bottom of this news!!

"Now the good ones: In last few months we recorded a complete pre-production for our (hopefully) forthcoming fourth WARHEAD album. Of course, it ain't complete yet but you can anticipate 12 brand new, in-your-face WARHEAD songs in good old 'Good Part for Each' tradition. Last but not least we introduce you to our latest recruited WARHEAD family member, Singer and frontman Mitch from Dortmund! He's a very powerful and punchy screamer a la Jon Oliva, Chuck Billy, etc. Just wait and you'll see!

Now for the guitar players among you. We are searching for a professional and stage-ready equipped guitarist in the area of OS/MS/BI/DO/H/HB/HH (Germany, of course!) who is sane and gave up on any hopes for a civil life ;-) Your age should be between 26 and early 30ies, you need to write good songs and possibly dislike teutonic-metal! Please no idiots, wankers or guitarwizards a la Steve Vai (we have no need for those). It would be great if you know how to operate hard disc recording. Your playing technique should be like, what shall I say — downstrokes rules, you know! So welcome Scott Ian ;-)

"If you are seriously interested, contact us at [email protected], we don't bite!

P.S.: We would like to welcome someone who knows the works of the band, not someone who just wants to play in a metal band for fun..."

WARHEAD's third album, "Beyond Recall" (2000),was produced by former GRAVE DIGGER/current REBELLION guitarist Uwe Lulis.
