W.A.S.P. Apologizes For Abbreviated Norwegian Concert

April 23, 2007

Dirk Lehberger of Noisegate Productions has released the following statement to BLABBERMOUTH.NET regarding W.A.S.P.'s abbreviated performance at Rokken in Volda, Norway earlier tonight (Monday, April 23):

"W.A.S.P. would like to apologise for the incident during the show at Rokken in Volda. We could simply not continue with the performance after a fan kicked in the fire alarm at the venue. The power on stage was blocked after this incident. The band would have liked to play the encores if we would have had the chance and had a great time with the fans!"

W.A.S.P.'s new album, "Dominator", was issued in the U.K. on April 16, Scandinavia on April 20, and is scheduled for release in the rest of mainland Europe on April 27 via Demolition Records. The CD will arrive in South America and Russia in early May. Check out audio samples at this location. A video clip of W.A.S.P. performing the new song "Mercy" on September 6, 2006 at Kaliakra Stadium, Kavarna, Bulgaria has been posted online at YouTube.com. A fall 2006 Finnish TV interview with W.A.S.P. mainman Blackie Lawless is available at this location.
