VREID: New Song Available For Streaming

"Arche", a brand new song from the Norwegian band VREID, can be stream below. The track comes off the group's fifth album, simply entitled "V", which is being released today (Monday, February 7) via Indie Recordings.

Lyrically, VREID has entered new landscapes with "V". "The Sound Of The River' was inspired by the book "Markens Grøde/Growth Of The Soil", which earned the legendary and controversial Norwegian author Knut Hamsun a Nobel prize in literature in 1920.

"The Sound Of The River" video can be viewed below. The clip was filmed over a three-day period in Wroclaw, Poland, and was produced by Grupa 13, which has previously worked with BEHEMOTH and AMON AMARTH, among others.

"The song was an obvious choice for us from the album," stated bass player and songwriter Hváll. "It’s a song that represents the album very well. It is based on the classic VREID sound, but also is a good illustrator of the new doors we have opened with the album."

He continued, "It was a pleasure to work with such professional and creative people.

"The filming itself went very smooth, and we had a great dialogue with the producers both by building the storyline as well as in the process of the after work."

VREID is the Norwegian band formed by former WINDIR members Hváll (bass),Steingrim (drums) and Sture (vocals, guitar).
