VOTUM To Release 'Metafiction' In March

January 4, 2010

Polish progressive rock/metal band VOTUM will release its sophomore album, "Metafiction", in March via Mystic Production. The follow-up to "Time Must Have A Stop" (ProgRock) is once again a concept effort, consisting of seven dark/atmospheric/progressive compositions. The CD was recorded, mixed and mastered between July and October at Izabelin Studio in Warsaw, where most chart-topping artists of the Polish music industry recorded their albums. The cover artwork was designed by the Mindfield group.

Commented the band: "This album is filled with charming melodies and real emotions. We also did our best not to hide away more aggressive approach known from 'Time Must Have A Stop'. We tried to create music that infiltrates mind, and gives you shivers down the spine — music that is both dark and uneasy, cold and enchanting.

"We hope that fans of atmospheric music with rock/metal inclinations will find on 'Metafiction' what they like most."

"Metafiction" track listing:

01. Falling Dream
02. Glassy Essence
03. Home
04. Faces
05. Stranger Than Fiction
06. Indifferent
07. December 20th

Two songs from "Metafiction" are available for streaming on the band's MySpace page.
