VOLBEAT To Support NIGHTWISH On Spring 2009 U.S. Tour

Danish metal rock 'n' rollers VOLBEAT have been confirmed as the support act for Finnish/Swedish symphonic metallers NIGHTWISH on their two-week May 2009 U.S. tour. A combination of makeup concerts for previously cancelled shows mixed with fill-in gigs, these will be NIGHTWISH's final North American dates for at least two years.

Online concert channel Fabchannel.com aired an exclusive live video webcast of VOLBEAT's sold-out concert at the legendary Paradiso in Amsterdam, Holland on October 9, 2008. The show can now be viewed in its entirety below.

The Fabchannel video archive includes over 900 full-length concert recordings from such artists as DANKO JONES, PENNYWISE, FLOGGING MOLLY, MY DYING BRIDE, TRIVIUM, STRIKE ANYWHERE and NIGHTWISH.

Less than a month after its release, "Guitar Gangsters & Cadillac Blood", the third studio album from VOLBEAT, was certifield gold in Denmark for sales in excess of 20,000 copies. The CD entered the Danish chart at No. 1, and was beaten only by METALLICA's "Death Magnetic" in its second week of release.

The CD was recorded at Hansen Studios in Ribe, Denmark with producer Jacob Hansen, who also worked with the group on its previous two records.
