VOIVOD: A Near-Miss!

October 16, 2002

The recording sessions for VOIVOD's much-anticipated new opus, The Multiverse, came very close to having to be delayed after guitarist Piggy and drummer Away nearly missed their flights to California from their native Quebec on Tuesday. According to the Chophouse Records web site, "Piggy and Away arrived at The Plant Recording Studios [yesterday] from Montreal, Canada. The two of them were minutes away from missing their flight when Snake's car broke down and almost caught fire along the motorway. A local metal shop offered them a telephone and a cab drove them the rest of the way. Caught in customs at the border, they were quickly let through when they told the official they were on their way to make a Heavy Metal/Hard Rock record!!"

The Multiverse is tentatively scheduled to be released on March 4th, 2003 through Chophouse (in association with Surfdog Records).
