Vocalist MIKE DIMEO Officially Quits RIOT

After a number of years and several album recordings with the band, vocalist Mike DiMeo has officially quit RIOT to devote himself full-time to THE LIZARDS (featuring drummer Bobby Rondinelli of BLUE ÖYSTER CULT/BLACK SABBATH/RAINBOW fame). Mike commented, "I have done more with THE LIZARDS in the past six months then with RIOT for the past six years."

Hot off the heels of a successful tour of Europe, Scandinavia, Greece, and Turkey, opening for ex-DEEP PURPLE bassist Glenn Hughes, THE LIZARDS are currently performing a series of gigs with the IAN HUNTER BAND (ex-MOTT THE HOOPLE) and will be joining hard rock legends UFO on a European tour beginning in early May. THE LIZARDS will be also performing at the Sweden Rock Festival on June 10.

RIOT's current lineup is as follows:

Mark Reale - Guitar
Mike Flyntz - Guitar
Randy Coven (YNGWIE MALMSTEEN) - Bass
Frank Gilchrist (VIRGIN STEELE) - Drums
