Vocalist AMANDA SOMERVILLE Comments On Collaboration With AFTER FOREVER Guitarist

January 16, 2007

Amanda Somerville, the American singer-songwriter and vocal coach who is better known for her collaborations with various European metal bands (including EPICA, AFTER FOREVER and EDGUY),has issued the following update:

"As you may have read on his page already, I will be writing the lyrics for [AFTER FOREVER guitarist] Sander Gommans's new project, HDK. I'm really excited about it, not only because he's a dear friend and an incredible musician, but also because this will be a new challenge for me working on some pretty aggressive tunes. If you're familiar with Sander's work with AFTER FOREVER, then you're completely correct to expect some phenomenal stuff. He delivers. If you're not famliar, then you simply must check this enormously tall and talented Dutchman out.

"In addition to the HDK project, I'm currently recording with Mark and Simone of EPICA in the studio for their new album (long days and late nights, interjected with some wicked games of foosball — thanks, Ad!),am working on songs with Sascha for Asrai's new album, am recording vocals here and there (like this past Monday for KAMELOT's new album),am finishing up my new album and will begin working with Andre Matos [ex-ANGRA, SHAAMAN] on his new album within the next few days. Whew!!! All kinds of new albums in the works!!! And I'm so honored to be a part of all of them."
