VITAL REMAINS: U.S. Tour Cancelled?

According to a posting on the web site of the West Springfield, Virginia venue Jaxx, VITAL REMAINS' previously announced U.S. tour has been cancelled (including a Jaxx date on May 30). It should be noted, however, that this information has **NOT** yet been officially confirmed by the band.

As previously reported, Metal Mind Productions has set a July 9 release date for the new DVD from VITAL REMAINS, entitled "Evil Death Live". The disc was recorded during the band's recent gig in Poland and features the group's current touring lineup, which includes vocalist Damien Boynton of the Oregon-based death metallers DESOLATION and bassist Brian Hobbie of CATASTROPHIC.

A video clip of VITAL REMAINS performing in Stockholm, Sweden on April 9 has been posted online at YouTube.

VITAL REMAINS recently uploaded a new song, entitled "Hammer down the Nails", to its MySpace page. The track comes off the band's latest CD, "Icons of Evil", which was released in North America on April 24 via Century Media Records.
