VINTERSORG Working On New Album

VINTERSORG, the Swedish band led by BORKNAGAR frontman Andreas Hedlund (a.k.a. Vintersorg),is working on a new album, for a fall 2010 release via Napalm Records. The keyboards and vocal tracks are almost completed for the effort, with guitars and drums to be recorded next.

VINTERSORG's last album, "Solens Rötter" (English translation: "The Origin of the Sun"),came out in April 2007 in Europe and May 2007 in the U.S. via Napalm Records. The CD was mixed at Ballerina Audio with the engineer Nils Johansson. The follow-up to 2004's "The Focusing Blur" did not feature contributions from Steve DiGiorgio (SADUS, SEBASTIAN BACH, TESTAMENT, DEATH) and drummer Asgeir Mickelson (SPIRAL ARCHITECT, BORKNAGAR),both of whom performed on the band's previous two releases.

Vintersorg's collaboration with BORKNAGAR's Oystein G. Brun (guitars and programming),dubbed CRONIAN, released its debut album, "Terra", in the U.S. in 2006 via Century Media Records. A follow-up effort, "Enterprise", came out in 2008.
