Video Footage of WOLFGANG VAN HALEN's First Show With TREMONTI

September 13, 2012

Video footage of VAN HALEN bassist Wolfgang Van Halen playing his first show with ALTER BRIDGE and CREED guitarist Mark Tremonti's solo band, TREMONTI, this past Tuesday (September 11) at Rock Junction in West Greenwich, Rhode Island can be seen below. Van Halen is filling in for regular TREMONTI bassist Brian Marshall, who is unable to take part in the band's current tour for personal reasons.

Wolfgang tweeted after the concert, "Well, the show with my buds @MarkTremonti @IIEROCKII and @GWDrums was a blast! Thanks so much to everyone that showed up! NYC, here we come!" Tremonti added, "Thanks for such an incredible first show Rhode Island! We won't ever forget it..."

Tremonti, who has been friends with Wolfgang Van Halen since CREED opened for VAN HALEN for a couple of shows in 1998, told Ross Ford, a morning radio show host on Colorado's 94.3 KILO, that Eddie Van Halen's son invited Tremonti to VAN HALEN's 5150 studio last year to watch Eddie, Wolfgang and drummer Alex Van Halen rehearse. During the visit, Mark got to hear VAN HALEN perform the entire "A Different Kind Of Truth" album months before its eventual release.

"It was amazing to see them do it right in front of me," Mark told Free Gotham. "I was thinking, how many people in the world get to do this?"
