VICIOUS RUMORS To Enter Studio Next Week

Veteran San Francisco Bay Area metallers VICIOUS RUMORS will enter the studio on February 20 to begin recording their new album for a tentative summer release. "The band is excited to bring together their collective firepower to record their new material for you!" the group write on their web site.

As previously reported, San Francisico Bay Area metal guitarist Thaen Rasmussen (ANVIL CHORUS, BLACK SUN) will be joining VICIOUS RUMORS for their upcoming European shows. Thaen will replace Brad Gillis (NIGHT RANGER, OZZY OSBOURNE) who cannot tour due to family committments. Thaen's trek with VICIOUS RUMORS will include an appearance at the Atarfe Vega Rock Festival in Granada, Spain on March 10 along with TESTAMENT, NUCLEAR ASSAULT, W.A.S.P., and TWISTED SISTER, among others.

VICIOUS RUMORS' current lineup includes Gillis, vocalist James Rivera (HELSTAR, SEVEN WITCHES, KILLING MACHINE),guitarist Geoff Thorpe, bassist Dave Starr and drummer Larry Howe.
