VICIOUS ART Bassist To Sit Out This Weekend's Shows

VICIOUS ART bassist/vocalist Jörgen Sandström (also of THE PROJECT HATE, ex-ENTOMBED, GRAVE) has been forced to miss the band's two gigs this weekend and will be temporarily replaced by the group's sound engineer Linus Nirbrant, who is also in the band THIS ENDING. Sandström will resume his bass/vocal duties in VICIOUS ART following these shows.

The affected dates are as follows:

Feb. 15 - The Rock, Copenhagen, Denmark (w/ THORIUM)
Feb. 16 - Club Centurion @ Wishclub, Gothenburg, Sweden

VICIOUS ART is the Swedish death/thrash metal band featuring former DARK FUNERAL members Matias Mäkelä and Robert Lundin, along with Sandström, vocalist Jocke Widfeldt (DOMINION CALIGULA) and guitarist Tobbe Sillman (GUIDANCE OF SIN).

VICIOUS ART recently completed a short Swedish/Norwegian tour as the support act for DEATH BREATH (the Swedish old-school death metal project featuring former ENTOMBED drummer and main songwriter Nicke Andersson [currently the frontman of rock 'n' roll band THE HELLACOPTERS]).

An e-card for the second full-length album from VICIOUS ART has been made available at this location. The CD was recorded at Offbeat studios in Jakobsberg, Sweden and was mastered in Denmark by Jacob Hansen. The album artwork was created by Kristian Karlberg.

Three video clips of VICIOUS ART performing at club Satin in Örebro, Sweden on March 17, 2007 have been posted online at YouTube. One of the clips can also be viewed below.

VICIOUS ART's debut album, "Fire Falls and the Waiting Waters", was released in October 2004 through Threeman Recordings in Europe (Candlelight Records in the U.S.).
