VENOMIN JAMES Drummer’s Condition Terminal; Family Needs Support

June 1, 2010

VENOMIN JAMES drummer Jared Koston, who was diagnosed several months ago with stage IV melanoma cancer and two brain tumors, has returned home to Madison, Ohio from University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio to be with his family. The doctors have given him only a few days to live.

Jared was taken by ambulance to University Hospital on Friday, May 28, 2010 and put in ICU where he was unresponsive at first.

"Jared gave the best damn fight," says Jared's wife Michele.

"Baby, know that I love you and always will. You are a winner in my book. The strongest man I will ever know."

Michele is in need of financial support to help pay for the home hospice care and funeral arrangements.

The Kostons have four children, no health insurance or employment.

"Jared and I were not prepared for something like this to happen," says Michele. "Who thinks at age 29 you are going to have to make these kinds of plans for your husband?"

Donations can be made as follows:

PayPal donations can be sent to: [email protected] (be sure to mark "personal," then select "gift").

Cash, checks or money orders (payable to Michele Koston) can be sent to:

"The heavy metal community has united together to make a difference in this family's life," says Auburn Records president Bill Peters. "The response to the various fundraisers has been overwhelming.

"Thank you to everyone who has donated and sent their prayers and positive thoughts to the Koston family."
