VELVET REVOLVER: Studio Update!

VELVET REVOLVER, the much buzzed-about rock group featuring STONE TEMPLE PILOTS vocalist Scott Weiland, former GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Slash, bassist Duff McKagan, drummer Matt Sorum and guitarist Dave Kushner from Dave Navarro's (JANE'S ADDICTION) band, have finished laying down basic tracks for 14 songs with producer Josh Abraham and engineer Ryan Williams, according to a post on the band's web site. Studio insiders say the mood is extremely upbeat and positive. "Believe it or not, we're actually ahead of schedule", says Sorum. The recording process is being documented by a video crew and still photographer Chapman Baehler.

VELVET REVOLVER's debut album is expected to surface in early 2004 through RCA Records.
