VELVET REVOLVER's SLASH, MCKAGAN Featured In 'My Damn Channel' Session

July 31, 2007

My Damn Channel launches an entertainment studio and new media platform for top talent. The first episode (dated July 31) features a no-holds-barred session with VELVET REVOLVER's Slash and Duff McKagan — both formerly of GUNS N' ROSES. Watch it at this location (there are several other segments to the left).

As previously reported, VELVET REVOLVER has selected "The Last Fight" as the second single from its "Libertad" album. The track will go for radio adds on August 20.

VELVET REVOLVER's sophomore album, "Libertad", sold 93,000 copies in the United States during its first week of release to land at position No. 5 on The Billboard chart. This is a little over one-third of the 256,000 first-week tally registered by its predecessor, "Contraband", which landed at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 chart back in June 2004.

The first single from "Libertad" was "She Builds Quick Machines". Watch the promotional video for the song at YouTube.

VELVET REVOLVER begins a North American tour with ALICE IN CHAINS on August 5 in Baltimore.
