VAN HALEN Singer Speaks To Detroit's WRIF: Audio Available

August 25, 2004

VAN HALEN frontman Sammy Hagar recently did a phone interview with Doug Podell of Detroit's WRIF 101.1 FM. Listen to the 20-minute conversation at this location (Windows Media).

VAN HALEN's classic live video, "Live Without A Net", will receive a DVD release in the U.S. on September 14. The concert was filmed in New Haven, USA in 1986 during the band's first tour with then-new vocalist Sammy Hagar. The video remains a favorite among fans and to this day is a spectacular watch. As previously reported, Sammy Hagar-era VAN HALEN remasters are also in the works and are expected to arrive in the not-too-distant future — possibly before the end of this year.
