VALKYRIE Announce New Lineup

VALKYRIE, the Virginia-based psychedelic stoner doomsters, have announced the addition of drummer Nic McInturff and bassist Nick Crabill to the group's ranks. A fresh new rhythm section backing up brothers Pete and Jake Adams on guitars and vocals has given a new energy to VALKYRIE, and many shows are planned in the upcoming months. The tour dates for March are as follows:

Mar. 04 - SideBar Tavern – Baltimore, MD (w/ KING VALLEY, INTERNAL VOID, THE EXPOTENTIALS)
Mar. 05 – TBA - NYC/PA (w/ KING VALLEY)
Mar. 06 - Warehouse Next Door – Washington, D.C.
Mar. 07 - SoapBox Laundro Lounge - Wilmington, N.C.
Mar. 08 - Ground Zero - Spartanburg , SC (w/ THE LAST VAN ZANT)
Mar. 09 - Twin Earth – Waycross, GA (w/ STARCHILD)
Mar. 10 – TBA - Asheville, NC
Mar. 11 - The Heckle House - Lexington VA (w/ ACCURSED DAWN)
Mar. 12 - Balls Bluff Tavern - Leesburg, VA (w/ PEARLS AND BRASS, VOG, STIFLING, DRUGS OF FAITH)

Short tours with Louisville, KY rockers ARCH and Northern Virginia sludgemasters VOG are in the works for mid-April and late March, respectively.

Also due out in early March is a self released split seven-inch single with VOG limited to 500 copies on clear vinyl. VALKYRIE's contribution is "Withered Tree".

VALKYRIE have been confirmed for the second annual Templars of Doom festival on July 8-9 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Other bands scheduled to perform at the festival include IRON MAN, REVEREND BIZARRE, PENANCE, LAS CRUCES, EARTHRIDE, AGAINST NATURE, THE GATES OF SLUMBER, THORNS OF THE CARRION, PALE DIVINE, DEVIL TO PAY, WELL OF SOULS, ORODRUIN, SALT OF THE EARTH and THE GALLOWS END.
