VADER Checks In From The Road

May 12, 2008

Polish death metal veterans VADER are currently on the road in Europe as part of the XXV Anniversary Tour, also featuring SEPTICFLESH, DEVIAN and INACTIVE MESSIAH.

Commented VADER in a posting on its web site: "So far the tour has been going just brilliant! The second week of the trip was very good and most of the venues were overpacked by crazy metalheads, supporting all the bands appearing on the tour in best possible way. Over 500 maniacs in London (April 29th) and 280 headbangers in Jumet, Belgium. In Paris over 500 fans again, sold out (!) show in Annecy (483 + guests). Also the other French shows (Notre-Dame-De-Gravenchore and Niort) turned out incredibly well... The third week of the tour we spent mostly in Spain and Portugal. Pure madness on both shows in Portugal and amazing Sevilla (350). In Durango, Santander and Almeria we also played pretty cool gigs. The tour is going on and the bands seem to be in a better shape from day to day. During those recent 12 shows we gathered over 5,000 fans!!!"

A new version of the VADER song "Incarnation", taken from the band's forthcoming anniversary album "XXV", is available for streaming at this location.

Due at the end of May through Regain Records, "XXV" was specially recorded for VADER's 25th anniversary and features re-recorded songs from the band's history. The album was entirely recorded, mixed and mastered at Hertz Studio with the Wieslawscy Bros. at the helm, known for their previous VADER collaborations on such releases as "The Art Of War" and "Impressions In Blood".

The regular double-disc edition of the album will feature 25 songs, including "Carnal", "Cold Demons", "Black To The Blind", and a previously unreleased song called "Tyrani Tyrani Piekiel" from the very early days of the band. A special digipack edition of "XXV" will be made available with an additional DVD featuring bonus songs (Polish versions of "Trupi Jad" and "Reborn In Flames") and some historical rarities in the form of video footage recorded between 1986 and 2001.

All the graphics and the entire "XXV" layout was designed by Jacek Wisniewski, the Polish graphic artist resposible for the cover art of previous VADER releases "Black To The Blind", "Litany", "Revelations" and "The Beast".

Fan-filmed video footage of VADER performing at Hangar 110 in Sao Paulo, Brazil on March 21, 2008 can be viewed below (courtesy of "TukaQuinelli").
