UPON INFLICTION: New Demo Track Posted Online

November 27, 2008

South Florida's UPON INFLICTION, the brainchild of drummer Gus Rios (MALEVOLENT CREATION, DIVINE EMPIRE) and guitarist Seth Ringler, has posted a "demo version" of a new song for free download on the band's MySpace page. The track marks the group's recorded debut with singer Kyle Symons (ex-MALEVOLENT CREATION, HATEPLOW, SICKNESS),who will handle the vocal duties on UPON INFLICTION's upcoming follow-up to "To Escape is To Suffer" (Arctic Music Group),due in 2009. The new CD will be recorded at Beiler Bros. Studios with Matt Laplant (NONPOINT, ANOTHER BLACK DAY, SKINDRED) engineering and Rios producing.

Starting out with his first band, SICKNESS, which also featured Kyle Symons on vocals, Gus has played in several noted bands through the years. He has done tours with DIVINE EMPIRE, played on and co-wrote KULT OV AZAZEL's first album, "Triumph of Fire", and has been MALEVOLENT CREATION's first-call touring drummer for three years, co-writing the last four albums with Phil Fasciana, and recording and co-producing their latest. Seth Ringler caught Gus's attention with his flawless execution of brutal yet complex riffs. Seth's ability to play his instrument with precision was exactly what UPON INFLICTION needed to come to life. Now joined by Kyle Symons, the band's next offering will be superior on every level! Faster, slower, more precision, and more brutal than ever before, UPON INFLICTION is ready to unleash its newest onslaught of death metal mastery onto the world.
