UFO Guitarist To Release 'Best Of' Collection

January 13, 2006

Famed guitar virtuoso Vinnie Moore (VICIOUS RUMORS, ALICE COOPER, UFO) will be releasing a "best of" compilation in the very near future via Shrapnel Records. The cover art is currently being produced and a release date will be announced in the next few days. Also in the works for Moore is a long-awaited new solo album with a tentative spring 2006 release. His last solo album, "Defying Gravity", was released in 2001. Moore also continues to work on new material for UFO. The group's lead singer, Phil Mogg, will be visiting Vinnie in the U.S. within the next month to begin crafting UFO's next studio album. No release date has yet been set for the effort.

UFO recently released a live CD/DVD, "Showtime", via SPV. The set was recorded at Pumpwerk in Wilhelmshaven, Germany on May 13, 2005.
