TWISTED TOWER DIRE Hard At Work On New Album

Virginia's "classic metal" act TWISTED TOWER DIRE are currently at Killabrew Studios in Annandale, VA with producer Matt Crooks (DIVISION) recording their fourth album, "Netherworlds", for Germany's Remedy Records. The track listing for the CD includes:

01. Starshine
02. Netherworlds
03. Fortress
04. Casualty of Cruel Times
05. Tales of Submission
06. The Killing Kind
07. Dire Wolf
08. No One Left to Blame
09. Firebird

The style of the new songs is said to be "a mixture of SAXON and MERCYFUL FATE with TWISTED TOWER DIRE's classic MAIDEN-esque sound. The production will be a rawer and punkier vibe along the lines of MAIDEN 'Killers' or Dio-era SABBATH." The bonus tracks will be TWISTED TOWER DIRE's covers of "Crionics" (SLAYER) for the digipack version and "Stand Up and Shout" (DIO) for the Japanese version (on Spiritual Beast Records).

There are also plans for a "Starshine" 12" vinyl EP to be released either before or in conjunction with the album. The track listing for the EP is as follows:

01. Starshine
02. Trashed (BLACK SABBATH)
03. Axes and Honor (unreleased 2002 Demo version)
04. The Reflecting Pool (unreleased 2002 Demo version)

An April 2005 release for both versions of the album and single is expected.

In other news, TWISTED TOWER DIRE have recorded covers of SAXON's "Warrior" and RUNNING WILD's "Port Royal" for upcoming tribute albums to be released next year via Remedy Records.
