Turkey's PENTAGRAM To Celebrate 20th Anniversary

January 4, 2007

According to a posting on the Turkish webzine Deli Kasap, Turkey's most famous and biggest heavy metal band PENTAGRAM (now known internationally as MEZARKABUL to avoid confusion with an American doom metal band, though they are still known as PENTAGRAM in their home country) — whose last live performance was on July 4, 2004 as the headliner of the Rock The Nations Festival II in Istanbul — is returning to the stage on February 4, 2007 to celebrate its 20th anniversary. This exclusive live performance, which will take place at Bostanci Gösteri Merkezi in Istanbul, will be filmed and recorded for a future DVD and live album release, to be issued sometime after the release of a possible new record. The band's record label, Sony BMG, is also said to be planning on re-releasing band's catalogue in 2007.

PENTAGRAM's current lineup:

Murat Ilkan (Vocals)
Hakan Utangaç (Guitar)
Metin Türkcan (Guitar)
Tarkan Gözübüyük (Bass)
Cenk Ünnü (Drums)
