TURISAS: UK Tour Dates Announced

November 13, 2007

2007 has been an amazing year for Finnish folk metal warriors TURISAS with the release of their epic new album, "The Varangian Way", playing the main stage at the Download festival, Metal Hammer's "Get In The Ring" and Kerrang! magazine's "Day of Rock" shows in London, a sold-out UK tour, Wacken Open Air, Tuska and Graspop Metal Meeting festivals and touring Europe with ICED EARTH and ANNIHILATOR .. and finishing off with the year in style with a show-stealing performance at last weekend's inaugural Hard Rock Hell festival in Minehead, England… so what better way to start 2008 than bringing everyone's favorite Viking warriors back to the UK to play some more shows?

Warlord Nygard comments on the forthcoming tour: "We just got back home from Hard Rock Hell festival in Minehead, which surely was a great and rather interesting experience… we are still trying to cure our hangovers! We did our first UK tour this September, and the response was overwhelming — with sold-out dates and crazy crowds everywhere! In March we will return to tour cities and towns we didn't play in September and we're expecting you guys to prove us right in not only touring the main 4-5 cities, but trying to play as much of the country as we can and meet as many of you battle metallers as possible."
