TRIPTYKON To Perform HELLHAMMER Song For First Time At Germany's METAL ASSAULT FESTIVAL

January 5, 2011

TRIPTYKON — the group formed by former HELLHAMMER/CELTIC FROST singer, guitarist, and main songwriter Tom Gabriel Warrior — will perform a classic HELLHAMMER song for the first time since 1985 at the first edition of the Metal Assault Festival, set to take place on January 8, 2011 at Posthalle in Würzburg, Germany.

When asked in a recent interview with Hellbound if there were plans for TRIPTYKON to break out any HELLHAMMER songs, Tom replied, "We're working on 'Messiah' and will put it in our set soon. Maybe one day we'll bring out 'The Third Of The Storms'. We couldn't have done that with the last lineup of CELTIC FROST because people just acted it. But in TRIPTYKON we've played it a few times and it sounds fantastic and authentic."

The Metal Assault Festival running order is as follows:

TRIPTYKON - 23:25 end
ANGEL WITCH - 22:05 - 23:05
ONSLAUGHT - 20:45 - 21:45
DESASTER - 19:25 - 20:25
TRANCEMISSION - 18:05 - 19:05
VANDERBUYST - 17:00 - 17:45
STONE VENGEANCE - 16:00 - 16:45
STRIKER - 15:00 - 15:45
