TOOL: More Rescheduled Dates Announced, Singer Works On Side Project

March 8, 2007

According to Launch Radio Networks, TOOL has announced more rescheduled dates for its spring U.S. tour, which was postponed from its original mid-March start after drummer Danny Carey tore a bicep while picking up his dog at home. The trek will now commence on April 30 in Reno, Nevada. Twenty shows have been confirmed so far, with more expected shortly. The band is also still expected to co-headline Manchester, Tennessee's Bonnaroo Festival in mid-June.

According to Billboard.com, singer Maynard James Keenan has been working during TOOL's unexpected break on new music from his side project PUSCIFER. Keenan revealed at his MySpace page that AUDIOSLAVE/RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE bassist Tim Commerford and drummer Brad Wilk have played on the tracks, along with ex-PRIMUS and A PERFECT CIRCLE drummer Tim Alexander. Keenan wrote that he plans to post songs on the page "within the next month or so."

TOOL will be continuing to support its latest album, "10,000 Days", and current single, "Jambi".
