TOM GABRIEL FISCHER: 'Playing With CELTIC FROST Is An Utterly Self-Destructive Curse'

November 24, 2006

CELTIC FROST frontman Tom Gabriel Fischer has posted the following message on his official blog:

"Whether enduring or permanently shattered, CELTIC FROST is synonymous with what is labeled 'my life.' Not an instant, not once, where the deeper implications, spiritual and otherwise, of CELTIC FROST's convoluted presence cease to reflect upon every aspect of my existence. Not a moment where I achieve a state without continuous pertinent rumination. Playing with CELTIC FROST is an utterly self-destructive curse and an impregnable drug at the same time. My other addiction."

As previously reported, CELTIC FROST has announced new tour dates for Japan, beginning in January of 2007, as part of the "Extreme The Dojo" tour with Norwegian black metallers SATYRICON. This marks the first time that CELTIC FROST has ever toured Japan.

CELTIC FROST Japanese "Extreme The Dojo" tour dates with SATYRICON:

Jan. 16 - Tokyo, JPN @ Club Quattro
Jan. 17 - Osaka, JPN @ Club Quattro
Jan. 18 - Nagoya, JPN @ Club Quattro

CELTIC FROST's video for "A Dying God Coming into Human Flesh", a song taken from their first album in 13 years, "Monotheist", can be viewed at this location. The fascinatingly gloomy clip was filmed by up-and-coming Swiss director Jessie Fischer (no relation to singer/guitarist Tom Gabriel Fischer) in Zurich, Switzerland, in mid-August 2006.
