TO-MERA To Support EBONY ARK In Spain

February 28, 2008

TO-MERA, the U.K.-based dark progressive metal band fronted by former WITHOUT FACE vocalist Julie Kiss, will support EBONY ARK on four Spanish shows in April. The details are as follows:

April 24 - Seville - Sala Q
April 25 - Murcia - Gamma
April 26 - Madrid - Caracol
April 27 - Barcelona - Mephisto

TO-MERA recently parted ways with bassist Lee Barrett (ex-EXTREME NOISE TERROR, DISGUST, MUSSOLINI HEADKICK). It was a decision made at the beginning of the year and a replacement is already in place.

Commented Lee: "I've had a great time playing with the band, but unfortunately my 'real-life' work dictated that I was unable to fulfil any possible future touring or musical commitments. It was only fair to the rest of the band that I left now rather than encounter any potential scheduling conflicts at a later date. I shall hopefully still be involved behind the scenes and taking care of the band's day-to-day business as I have been before, so I'll still be sticking around."

Barrett's replacement in TO-MERA is Mark Harrington, also of DEMAGOGUE.

TO-MERA released its sophomore album, "Delusions", on February 18 via Candlelight Records.

Regarding the new CD's musical direction, Barrett previously said, "All the elements present on [last year's "Transcendental"] have been greatly expanded upon. The music will display a much greater range of moods, tempos and dynamics (ranging from fragile subtlety to epic bombast via everything in between),whilst being simultaneously more sophisticated, yet more melodic and coherent than before. Julie's vocals have become substantially more versatile and powerful. There will be loads more guitar and keyboard (even drum!) solos. But most importantly, we feel this music has a much deeper and more genuine emotional impact to it."
