TNT: New Singer Found?

May 9, 2006

According to MelodicRock.com, TNT members Ronni LeTekro (guitar) and Morten "Diesel" Dahl (drums) were in Germany recently talking to a potential new vocalist to replace the recently departed Tony Harnell. Norwegian newspaper Adressa has confirmed that the guys were there on business, and if the reports are to be believed, the new TNT singer is an Englishman and is a similar-style vocalist to Tony Harnell (but not PINK CREAM's David Readman).

Tony Harnell announced his departure from the band last month. Tony's final concert with the band took place in Madrid, Spain on April 1, 2006. The show was recorded and will be released on DVD this coming fall. Harnell commented at the time: "This was a difficult decision, but change is not always a bad thing. . . The reasons for me leaving are both personal and professional. It is simply time to open a new chapter in my life in a fresh environment. I wish my former colleagues and friends of TNT all the best in their future endeavors both in life and in music."

TNT's latest CD release, "All The Way to the Sun", entered the official Norwegian album chart at position No. 29 back in mid-November 2005.
