TIMELORD Mixing Debut Album

November 27, 2006

Springfield, Virginia-based progressive/thrash metal band TIMELORD has begun mixing its debut album, "The Great Machine", with Kevin 131 (PROJECT: FAILING FLESH, RAVEN, DECEASED, DYSRHYTHMIA) at Assembly Line Studios in Vienna, Virginia. The mixes are being assisted by Ben McCall.

Commented Kevin: "The guys have delivered me all the tracking and I have got them all ready to start mixing. I have to admit, I am always a bit weary when a band tracks a record themselves, frequently the tracking is out of order, and a little messy. But these guys did a fantastic job producing and engineering. The drums are precise and immaculate, the guitars are technical and shred, and the vocals are clean and quite powerful. In short they did a fantastic job.

"When I first talked to Matt (Aub, guitars/vocals) I had not heard the band, so I was pleasantly surprised to hear of their upcoming deal with Shrapnel. I was even more surprised to hear that we are from the same area, so I had a particular interest in the project. I was blown away by the clips they had posted on MySpace — the nice melting of old-school IRON MAIDEN, METAL CHURCH, AGENT STEEL with the updated sound of some CHILDREN OF BODOM/SINERGY, HAMMERFALL, etc. Obvious references of course, simply because of the technical power metal genre. These guys are way cool — so the album should be a fun one to mix. I am just getting going . . but the mixes should be ready for mastering early December. After just working with RAVEN here, I am especially looking forward to their cover of 'Faster Then the Speed of Light', which John [Gallagher, RAVEN frontman] does a guest appearance on."

"The Great Machine" projected track listing:

01. Dawn of Dissent
02. The Great Machine
03. Slaves
04. Sparks of Rebellion
05. Aeons Calling
06. The Alchemist
07. Sirens
08. Cult of the Dead
09. Faster Than the Speed of Light (RAVEN cover)

"The Great Machine" is scheduled for release in February/March 2007 via Shrapnel Records.
