THERAPY?, ROTTING CHRIST, A STORM OF LIGHT Confirmed For U.K.'s DAMNATION FESTIVAL

April 9, 2009

Northern Irish trio THERAPY?, Greek black metallers ROTTING CHRIST and Josh Graham's doom laden post-metal purveyors A STORM OF LIGHT are the first three confirmed bands for this year's edition of the U.K.'s Damnation Festival, set to take place Saturday, October 24 at Leeds University Union.

Festival director Gavin McInally said: "It's a real honor to have THERAPY? perform at Damnation Festival, especially in a busy year for band following the release of the excellent 'Crooked Timber'.

"Fans have been demanding THERAPY? for a while now and we're delighted to finally be able to oblige with a slot on the Jägermeister Stage.

"ROTTING CHRIST are another fans' favorite and they've been kind enough to agree to a break from the studio this October to fly over to devastate our Terrorizer Stage.

"And following the massive success of our Rock Sound Stage last year, A STORM OF LIGHT are the first band announced to push the aural envelope with their eclectic post-metal rumblings."

Damnation Festival 2009 will take place across three stages with doors opening at the earlier time of 1:00 p.m. through until 3:00 a.m.
