THE WILDHEARTS Frontman Warns Against 'Illegal' Album Release

September 18, 2006

THE WILDHEARTS frontman Ginger's web site has been updated with the following message:

"Ginger has asked us to pass on a warning about a re-release of 'Landmines and Pantomimes', a compilation of rarities originally released on Kuro Neko Records and which the band had no input to. The new release is in a DVD-sized cardboard sleeve and is on the Mischief Music label (cat no. MM101). It features the artwork of the late Danny Deen and Ginger has asked people not to buy this new release as it is illegal. We are still trying to find further details about Mischief Music. If anyone has any contact details or further information, please let us know."

Ginger recently released a solo album, entitled "Valor Del Corazon". The CD was recorded at Willie Nelson's studio in Texas during the summer of 2005 with producer Ralph Jezzard (who had previously worked on THE WILDHEARTS' "Endless Nameless" CD). A brand new solo album, entitled "Yoni", is currently in the works. Check out a sample track, entitled "Black Windows", at www.myspace.com/silverginger. Ginger says: "It's unmastered right now, but I couldn't wait for everyone to hear new drummer Denzel tearing the living shit out of his drum kit. Check this guy out, he's sick. Please let the world know, and tell them all to tell someone else!"
