THE WILDHEARTS Frontman To Release New Solo Single

December 4, 2007

THE WILDHEARTS frontman Ginger will release a new solo single, "Casino Bay", on December 24. "It's a double A-side single featuring the tracks 'Casino Bay', 'Holiday' and 'How Legends Love'," says Ginger. "'Casino Bay' comes from the newest solo album, 'Market Harbour', due for release in February. 'Holiday' comes from the last solo album, 'Yoni', which is already available at all emporiums supporting good taste and valiant effort. 'How Legends Love' is exclusive to this release."

THE WILDHEARTS' self-titled album was released on April 23 via Round Records. The CD was preceeded by a download-only single, "The Sweetest Song".

"The Wildhearts" was recorded partly at London's Strongroom Studios, partly at a country house in Ipswich, and at a haunted castle in the Midlands.

Commented mainman Ginger: "We are really proud of this album. It marks what honestly feels like a fresh start in what has been an up-and-down career for the band. Gone are the drugs and alcohol problems. There is a focus and determined spirit in the band now, which we think we have captured perfectly on this album. The melodies are still there, the big choruses are still there, but the mammoth guitar riffs are back and heavier than ever. We're excited to have you along for this fresh new stage in the ongoing legacy that is THE WILDHEARTS."

THE WILDHEARTS will tour the UK later this month with support from WOLFSBANE (featuring BLAZE/ex-IRON MAIDEN vocalist Blaze Bayley) and DAMONE.
