March 29, 2006

THE SWORD have announced a U.S. headlining tour in support of their debut album, "Age of Winters". The dynamic quartet will launch a three-week U.S. tour beginning March 29 at the Masquerade in Tampa, FL. The tour is scheduled to conclude April 20 in the band's hometown of Austin, TX, with additional dates pending. Support on THE SWORD tour will be provided by TORCHE and labelmates TARANTULA A.D.

In other news, THE SWORD has contributed a new song to the forthcoming "Invaders" compilation, set for release on April 25 via Kemado Records. Entitled "Under the Boughs", the collection joins seventeen tracks of rare and unreleased material from PELICAN, WOLFMOTHER, BLACK MOUNTAIN, HIGH ON FIRE, WITCH and BIG BUSINESS, amongst others.
