THE STEVE GRIMMETT BAND Confirmed For UK's Z ROCK 08 Festival

March 5, 2008

THE STEVE GRIMMETT BAND, the new U.K.-based group led by former GRIM REAPER/ONSLAUGHT singer Steve Grimmett, has been confirmed for the Z Rock 08 festival, set to take place May 16-17 at The Asylum, Hampton Street, Hockley, Birmingham, England. Steve last performed at Z Rock in 2004 with his previous band LIONSHEART.

Commented Steve: "It's extremely exciting to be back playing at Z and I was very happy to have been asked. Given the quality of the lineup, we are very much looking forward to appearing alongside such artists that I know and respect. This is going to be one hell of a weekend. We are looking forward to unleashing songs from our current album and also give fans the chance to hear past material too. I am sure fans will not be disappointed; we are 100 percent there already."

THE STEVE GRIMMETT BAND released its debut album, "Personal Crisis", in October 2007 via Metal Heaven. This new outfit features Grimmett's former LIONSHEART bandmate Ian Nash on guitar, Pete Newdeck (PAUL DI'ANNO, THE SHOCK) on drums and Ritchie Walker on bass. The record was produced by Pete Newdeck with Dennis Ward (PINK CREAM 69) and features several guest guest musicians, including Eric Ragno (keyboards; JEFF SCOTT SOTO),Bob Daisley (bass; OZZY OSBOURNE, RAINBOW),Carsten Schulz (EVIDENCE ONE) and Tony Mills (SHY, TNT).
