THE ROTTED Begins Recording New Album

January 20, 2011

London, England-based death metallers THE ROTTED have entered Parlour Studios to record the follow-up to 2008's "Get Dead Or Die Trying". Production duties are once again being handled by Russ Russell (NAPALM DEATH, DIMMU BORGIR, EVILE).

Commented vocalist Ben McCrow: "So this is where I give it the obligatory 'This is our best/heaviest/brutalist/most epic album yet blah blah bollocks, etc. etc.' is it!?

"Well, that's for you to decide, I already know what I think, but what I will say is that this album will take no fucking prisoners, and that fans of NAPALM DEATH, ENTOMBED, MOTÖRHEAD and WOLFBRIGADE are in for a real treat!"

The as-yet untitled-album is set for a mid/late 2011 release.

THE ROTTED last year released the "Anarchogram" EP consisting of two new tracks and four bonus cuts. According to the band, "'Anarchogram' features two blistering new tracks of hate-filled, punk-infused U.K. death metal, as well as four cover songs. Each band member has chosen a song that made them personally want to play this kind of music in the first place, and is our way of paying tribute to the metal gods that have inspired us!"
